It all starts here!

Welcome everyone to episode 001 of the Plan to Profit Podcast.

I am thrilled and excited to bring you my learnings, strategies and advice around the start-up area of small business. Each episode only contains one concept, so the topic might be quite large, but my philosophy is identifying bite sized issues and offering actionable solutions. Reducing overwhelm is one of the concepts that forms the basis of my business foundation. There are more than enough moving parts to any small  business, adding more complex issues is pure craziness

The thought of having to implement long and tough strategies can seem impossible. This is the reason that I started the podcast, bringing you easily digestible concepts and small business strategies to create the business that you are looking for!

So who am I and what do I do?

In a nutshell, I have run businesses, trained others for many years to operate better in their business and helped budding entrepreneurs start their dream gig!

Realistically if you are keen to find out who I am then send me a message, follow me on Instagram, Facebook or read my BIO on my website. You my friend are looking for results, not someone who wants to blow their own trumpet! Business is in my bones, in my DNA and I am so committed to my craft!

So let me get controversial right from the beginning!

I don’t offer guarantees, insert the silent gasp and I don’t like the constant talk of 5, 6 or 7 figures businesses! Over the last 15 years I have spoken with so many individuals who have wanted to start a business, and you know what, every single person had completely different reasons. What financial freedom looks like for one person is completely different to the next. I meet so many people who are just looking to replace their standard income, but have more freedom to enjoy their family, time on the golf course or not having to make huge commutes to work each day.

The other factor I see in starting a business is that it requires a strong focus on personal development. This encompasses your ability to weather the storms that are guaranteed to occur. You must conquer the mindset and prospective limiting beliefs at each level of success to enable you to create more success. At every level of your business you are going to experience new roadblocks that are going to require you to think in a different way.  A new perspective and fresh eyes from someone else is always welcomed. So through this podcast I endeavour to snuggle you and give you that different perspective or that push right when you need it.

The Importance of Showing Up

When you show up and attempt what scares you, you will grow and be successful.  I love this passage from Tanner Christensen and it says “Even on the days you don’t feel like it, showing up can make all the difference. If you show up and start the work – even though it feels so heavy to do so – what you end up making could be all you need to keep moving, to keep creating.”
Having an idea is great and so many people have some really life changing ideas, but the real life changing happens when you step into that power of showing up, and doing the work. So today my friends, on the first day of many of me, show up in whatever you are doing and know you are one step closer to your dreams.

The community I am building with this podcast is my warm comfy safe space where your voice matters and real conversations are what we all need. I have watched women strive for success to be torn down, emotionally and physically in workplaces across my time! I say no to that behaviour, and this podcast is created to support you and give you a safe place to listen and be heard.

From a young age I have been surrounded by business success. Having formally studied a Double Degree of Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Management, this led to many successful opportunities.

I have been an employee for large accounting firms and international companies. I have run two highly successful businesses, becoming sought after in my industry internationally.

I have spoken nationally on the topic of money management and loved having the quiet coffee making radical changes for my clients. I am not a limelight chaser, just a quiet achiever looking to make a difference in the world.
